In April, Chalk purchased a two-year-old, Louisiana-bred colt at the OBS Spring Sale in Ocala, Florida. The colt is out of Gold Tribute, sire of ten crops of racing age and producer of three champions. Gold Tribute is the son of all-time leading sire Mr. Prospector and on the colt’s dam side his bloodlines include Secretariat and Kris S. The colt ran a sharp 10.2 second furlong under a hand ride in his workout at the sale.
